  18. That is most likely not the case.  I had the exact same problem with a
  19. different brand modem using the same BUGGY firmware as the Sportster. 
  20. When looking at the stats at the end of the session, it reported 0
  21. retrains.

  23. BTW: Someone should start a list of defective modems; like whoever
  24. maintains the faq.  I'll start it out:
